I slipped out of my bed nice and early Christmas morning.  While our littles have never been ones to rise at the crack of dawn, I wanted to make sure that I was the first one awake. I sat in the glider that I have rocked all of my babies in, tea in hand, and smiled, just waiting for the littles to wake up. Letter From Santa

One of my favorite traditions is one that started last year.  In the letter that Santa leaves for the littles, he decided to start giving them a word for the year.  For 2012, Gabriel’s word was Believe, Ethan’s word was Joy, and Summer’s word was Dream.  This year, he left them another letter with new words for 2013. We have been so busy that we have not had as much time as I like to just sit back and enjoy the moments. So, that was my mission yesterday.  As much as I love traditions, I had to accept that every year cannot, and probably should not, be the exact same.  This year, though, since our holiday break at school started later, which put us behind on some of the things that we really enjoy doing, we had some catching up to do.
