This is going to be short and sweet. I have ice cream freezing because family fun week continues around here. We are holding on to every last second of spring break.
If I had to use one word to describe Ethan’s week, our week, it would be perfect. Family Fun Day, Sea World, Texas Bluebonnets, The Lorax, San Gabriel River all added up to family fun moments and memories that I will treasure forever. And, I will hold on to the memories tightly as we head back into reality next week.
Ethan is at his best when we are all together….we all are. Seeing him in his element this week has had me really considering home-schooling him. It is not something that I will do right now, but it is a definite possibility in the future. Sean has been thinking about it, too. Tonight he said, “If we just win the lottery, we could all be together all day every day…and you could home-school the kids.” No, we do not play the lottery, but it is certainly always good to dream.
I loved watching Ethan play with his siblings and cousins all week. He was so happy as he ran through the yard, jumped on the trampoline, waded in the river, fed the dolphins, and bowled for the first time. His little light was shining for all the world to see. And, let me tell you, his light is certainly bright enough for all the world to see.
Needless to say, there were unicorns and rainbows all around us this week. As I sit here in my room all alone, I cannot help by smile as I am typing and re-living the memories. I am at total peace. I know that God has great plans for my Ethan, and, I believe, it is going to be incredible watching Ethan’s magic unfold little by little with each smile, each giggle, each step of his journey. A journey that he knows he will make with two amazing siblings on one side of him and two loving parents on the other.
