We have had a busy weekend. We had the Fall Festival, family in town, soccer, and football games. Busy is not always good. But, this busy was great! We had a lot of fun.
Sean and I had a semi-date night, working the Fall Festival table together. It took me back to how we always turned our doctor’s appointments, when I was pregnant, into little dates. The doctors and nurses commented on how happy we seemed. And, we were. Being together always makes us happy…and, it is fun turning the little things into a date. Thank you for being my best friend and always being there for me, Sean. I love you!
Soccer was great. I have a ton of pictures and will do an entire post about it later. We were so proud of our Gabriel. At one point, the other team was about to score, and there were little bodies falling everywhere. It seemed more like football than soccer for a second. And, the next thing I know, my Gabriel is dribbling that soccer ball as fast as he can across the field. My heart nearly exploded with pride. You are amazingly awesome, Gabriel. I love you!
And, as I mentioned on Friday, my mom came in to help us out with the Fall Festival. She and my sister took the kids on a little date, which they loved. When we got home from the Festival, my mom talked to me about Dakota and what all she thought was going on with her. I had a raging headache and was kind of in shock, about what might be wrong with Dakota. So, the next morning, she called her boss (a vet) and then called my dad. Dr. Burk got all of the medicine that Dakota needed. Thank you, Dr. Burk! My dad picked it up and then got on his motorcycle and brought it to us. That is love…really, it is. My mother and daddy know that Dakota means the world to us, and they jumped into action to help us get her better. And, for now, she is doing much better. We know that she is old, but we just are not ready to lose her yet….not that we ever will be. Thank you, Mother and Daddy. I love you!
I did not get around to all of the recipes last week that I had hoped to post. I like to have a plan in place, but there are those days when I make or bake something that I just cannot wait to share. As of now, here are the things that I plan to write about this week.
Bruschetta with Feta Cheese
Sour Cream Crockpot Chicken
Baked Potato Bites
